Rules help us understand how the game is played so everyone can enjoy their time at Lakewood. It really all boils down to "Love the Lord your God will all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and love your neighbor as yourself." Luke 10:27
Lakewood Retreat is a privately owned 501-c3 ministry and as such has the right and responsibility to set and maintain Biblical standards of operation and conduct. Our policies are built on our best and honest understanding of what the Bible instructs of us and are not based on personal preferences. We do our best to uphold these standards in order to provide a sanctified place for Christian learning, worship, and recreation.
